CREW, Inc. is undergoing renovations and expect to be operational by Spring of 2025.

In mid September, CREW began undergoing major renovations to transform the historic Triplett School into a bustling Community Center. They are aiming to open in the Spring of 2025 to begin classes and programs serving the community of Mount Jackson and surrounding area.

CREW, Inc. plans on offering culinary classes, health and wellness programs, a community garden (already under way), performing arts, exercise classes and of course, the batting cages for team and individual practices.

CREW’s Executive Director Kim Cassford, says that funding for the project has come from a variety of local businesses, civic organizations, and individual donors along with support from the Town of Mount Jackson. CREW has also applied for grants, including a $1 million matching grant from the Industrial Revitalization Fund and a $150,000 nonprofit security grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

CREW welcomes donations through their website and will be offering volunteer positions once the center becomes operational.
