David Ferguson, Vice President
County Board of Supervisors, District 3 - Edinburg
David grew up in Strasburg. After graduation from Strasburg High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving both in Korea and Vietnam.
Following his discharge, he began work with the Shenandoah Telephone Company (Shentel). During those 43 years he held the positions of lineman, installer/repairman, engineer, cable supervisor, construction supervisor, and plant manager. He retired in 2012 the Vice President of Customer Service.
He has been and continues to be active as past President of Woodstock Rotary; Boy Scouts of America as past District Chairman; Shenandoah County Free Clinic past Director and Fundraising Chair, where he received the 2003 "Unsung Hero Volunteer Award" from the Virginia Health Care Foundation.
He served on the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors for 12 years representing District 3. Currently he is serving on both the Shenandoah County Chamber Board and the Board of the Shenandoah County Community Foundation Board.
